Ted The Film Collector Film collector? What the heck is that? Well, I collect real films, like we used in High School in the 1960's. You have a movie projector, and you show them on as big a screen as you can. My screen is about 6 x 5 feet, my cinemascope screen is about 9 x 3.5 feet. You essentially have a movie theater in your home. I collect both 16mm and Super 8 mm films. It looks much better than most TV projectors. It's neat, but the movies are expensive and getting somewhat rare. If you find anything in your attic, I'd be keenly interested. I have some films for sale. I don't make a profit. It's just a hobby. I sell some titles to have money to buy others, and make room for new ones. They take up a lot more storage space than DVD or Video tape. If you would like to see what I have click on Buster Keaton & the Train I also help run the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, Pa. Featured in the first Steve McQueen film "The Blob". The theater is now owned and operated as a community theater. You can see what we are showing at Colonial Theater |
