Ted has been floating in and around the Philadelphia music scene for some 30 years. He was a founding member of two of the western suburbs best known country rock bands. The Golden Rocket in the early 1970's, and in the 90's, the infamous Hawks. Ted's latest band The Stumble Down the Mountain Boys, is a hot new Bluegrass Band featuring some of the area’s finest players. Ted also plays solo, and with the Medicine Bros., an acoustic division of  Los Manatees.

Ted has opened for everybody from top country legends like, Bill Anderson, Hank Snow, Jennie C Reilly, and Asleep at the Wheel to folkies like John Sabastian,  Iain Matthews, and John Hartford. Ted has also performed regularly in Nashville, Branson Missouri, and Japan.

Ted shows up on local television and radio. Ted was WMGK's Riddlin Fiddler with Catfish & Allen on The More Music Morning, and is a frequent guest on WXPN's Gene Shay Folk Music Program and Kathy O'Connell's Kid's Corner. Ted was also part of the original House Band for the live radio broadcast Heartlands Hayride out of Sergeantsville, NJ on WDVR FM

One of Ted's specialties is backing up Singers. Ted added his unique style of fiddling to No Grey Faith featuring Iain Mathews, Jim Fogerty, and Lindsay Gilmore on their CD " Secrets All Told......The Songs of Sandy Denny", and on the new CD's from Celtic singer Gerry Timlin, and Folk Legend Tom Rush.

PS. Ted is the only person to perform at the Philadelphia Folk Festival who is actually from Schwenksville, Pa.
